The Course

South Petersfield Golf Club is a 12 hole pay and play course situated on the edge of the town almost adjacent to the lake. this 3,000-yard course was part of the original Petersfield Golf Club, which relocated north of the town in 1997.

South Petersfield GC is set in beautiful and tranquil surroundings with numerous trees and water hazards and is a good test of golf for every level of golfer.

9 of the 12 holes have now been formally accredited and registered with the English Golf Union and linked to Handicap Master. This allows golfers to obtain a handicap or maintain a current handicap by simply playing at South Petersfield.

Due to the courses popularity, we no longer accept tee time bookings but instead operate on a first come first serve basis. This allows more golfers to enjoy our course and creates a friendly environment amongst players. Although we would encourage all golfers to wear golf shoes for safety, there is no dress code at South Petersfield and golfers can wear what they feel comfortable in.

South Petersfield Golf Course is proud to have its own team of dedicated green keepers who work 7 days a week to keep the course in pristine condition.

Our green keepers daily jobs include cutting the greens and fairways and raking the bunkers while saying hello to every passing player. The team are also constantly making minor changes to not only improve how the course plays but also keep it fun and challenging for regulars and first-time players alike.

While our team do an excellent job of maintaining and improving the course, they are always looking for feedback as to how the course can be improved. If you have any ideas please feel free to get in contact with us.
